Rid Yourself of Filth

Many suicides, divorces and social misdemeanors if you trace their roots lead back to emotional wounds; hurts caused by the speaking of unwholesome words-and left to fester.

The rise in suicides among black children in America is a pointer to how the speaking and meting out of denigrating treatment can cause emotional problems inside that eventually blow out in form of social problems-which in turn create other social problems.

Now, you may not be able to control what people say to you but you can stop the effects of unwholesome words and treatment from finding a place in your heart through forgiveness and releasing the hurt from your heart. Forgiveness is ridding yourself of  the filth that other people put on you before they manifest in bigger problems.

‘It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive. Forgive everybody.” ~ Maya Angelou

Next, remove yourself from the company of hurtful people. Refuse to let hurtful people with their destructive words, have a voice in your life. Words are so powerful. Words can produce miracles and they can cause enormous harm. Therefore, have some love for yourself by staying away from hurtful people.

‘Don’t let toxic people sabotage your happiness, ruin your positive attitude, contaminate your mind or destroy your self-confidence. Instead, surround yourself with generous, positive, and nurturing people who will lift you up.’ ~Farshad Asl

It’s no use being in a relationship that brings filth into your life. If you get rid of them, you get rid of the filth.

Get rid of the filth!
