When you come across portions in the Bible like;
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.-Proverbs 18:21
But the righteousness of faith speaks thus: Do not say in thine heart, Who shall ascend to the heavens? that is, to bring Christ down; Or, Who shall descend into the deep (that is, to bring up the Christ again from the dead)? But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach: -Romans 10:6-8
They tell you something about who you really are after you become a Christian. These verses tell you that God has handed you the charge of your destiny. The same principle and material He used to rebuild this world in six days (ask me if you want to know more about this) is what He has handed to you. Honestly, many ‘help me Lord’ prayers are highly unnecessary.
The God, in whose image and likeness you are, spoke this world into being after the Holy Spirit had been stirred. The same material that He used to create the world, the word of faith is near you now-in your mouth. It means, here-forth you stop begging God for a job; your healing; the restoration of that marriage, and start decreeing into existence. Decree the kind of relationship you want with the Lord; the kind of life you want to live; how that you are not subject to the things of this world because you are under the grace of God. Decree! Do it after you have sufficiently stirred up the Spirit of God in you by praying in tongues and/or studying the Bible.
Be lavish in speaking the Word of God about anything and everything in your life because… brethren, your destiny is in your mouth.
