The Fatality of Complacence

The stack-a-too gagged everywhere
Blaring rifles ending our quiet fears
A Temple mount blotting of filthy plight
Gorging the darkness in gore and fright

T’was martial music meandering near
My people heard it without a care
The day came bloodbath delighted
Of courses unknown, wrong and righted

Peaceful pleas for wholly despondence
Unheard, ignored, gladly death-sentenced
Replaced by rubble and languid gunfire
Flaying the morality of our complacence

A Ticked Clock and many questions
Withal unanswered and set behind
Littering skeletons, cudgels and bullets
For courage we could not find
Telling tomorrow, today furtive
Oh! What courage they could not find
